Raaziq Group once again organized and sponsored a Cricket tournament where 12 teams participated and was held in the floodlit ground of Wahadat Road Lahore on Saturday, May 2, 2009. This was the 3rd tournament organized by Raaziq Group with a change and that was to invite airlines operating in Lahore to participate. Following airlines showed there interest and nominated teams to take part in the tournament.
- Qatar Airways
- DHL
- Delta Airlines
- Singapore Airlines
- Airline Super Eleven (participants from EK, BA, LH and GF)
Raaziq Group four teams were playing in this tournament namely:-
- Raaziq Air Freight Unit (AFU),
- Raaziq Value added department (VAD)
- Raaziq Special Project Division (SPD)
- Raaziq Overseas Division (OSD)
- Raaziq Cosa Nostra (Raaziq restaurant)
Apart from the above Teams 02 teams being Raaziq Import Customer i.e., Coca Cola and Avencion also participated in the tournament.
After marvelous batting, smashing boundaries and aggressive bowling in the field each group matches and semi- finals, Raaziq SPD and Qatar Airways qualified for the finals. The winning trophy was taken away by Raaziq SPD, defeating Qatar Airways team by consistently winning each match. The crowd and participating teams enjoyed the whole tournament; arrangement, lighting, dinner and appreciated Raaziq’s efforts to organize such event while expecting similar kind of events to be held in future.
