Raaziq-Punjab Polo Cup 2011

Polo has a history enriched with prestige and value that has been for centuries considered as the Game of Kings. Since decades it has strongly set its roots in subcontinent as this sport is still recognized in Pakistan for its magnanimity. This recognition as has been consistently valued in one of the oldest event of Polo in Pakistan i.e Punjab Polo Cup. Raaziq a company that is established on the same pillars of value and prestige is honored to associate itself with the Punjab Polo Cup this year. The parallels between Polo and Raaziq, are undeniable. One, a company that has grown in stature and size to become one of Pakistan's largest logistics companies. The other, a sport that is matched by no other, the game of Kings, Polo. Both deserving of a place on the pedestal. It is in this light that Raaziq has considered sponsoring the Punjab Polo Cup, one of the country's oldest and most prestigious Polo events, attracting the crème de la crème of Pakistani society.

This year Punjab Polo Cup took place on 20th Feb 2011  which was witnessed by members of Polo club, top management of different MNC’s, bureaucrats, ambassadors and other Polo lovers. The event was a success in itself despite the rough weather forecast that were to impact the final match . Fortunately the weather turned out to be perfect as it added radiance to the entire game thus projecting the awe a game of Polo deserves. On the final match, the players entered the ground from either side with a Jaguar and Range Rover leading the teams which was unique in its own way. Top national players along with some of the Argentinean and foreign riders were part of this tournament. After an exhilarating set of chukkars, Team Askari Insurance swept away the winning trophy and the event was closed with award ceremony where guest of honor,  Mr. Isfandiyar Ali Khan Patudi ( Chairman Pakistan Polo Association)  , awarded the winning team with trophy and Raaziq branded souvenirs.

Sponsoring a Polo event brings to the company a certain amount of prestige and class that other sports are unable to garner. Raaziq has been the main sponsor for this event in the past and will hopefully continue in the same vein, as it is suitable to acquaint itself with this tournament as Raaziq too has establish an enriched history that has paved a way for  it to become leader in the logistic & supply chain management in Pakistan.
